Riken Elastomers Corporation, located on 24 acres in Commerce Park, Hopkinsville, Kentucky was incorporated on June 16, 2006. The Company is owned by Riken Technos Corporation of Japan. Riken Technos operates it's three core businesses: Compound, Film and Food Wrapping Film internationally. Riken Elastomers Corporation, part of the Compound Division, produces custom compounds. The Company is engaged in the manufacture and sale of high performance plastics (thermo plastic elastomer) compounds primarily used in the automotive industry. Thermo Plastic Elastomer Compounds (TPE) have the properties of both plastic and rubber. Compounds are mixtures of base resin with several different additives, thereby giving them the novel properties of being lightweight and recyclable. Our customer base includes leading automotive related industries with final applications of interior and exterior parts for window, roof and belt molding products.
